Poirot he notes the claim that CTN World she moves back to November. How is this? She has never been held in November. Poirot he knows the dates. They were:
3rd & 4th October 2004
16th & 17th October 2005
14th & 15th October 2006
20th & 21st October 2007
6th & 7th September 2008
The question, it must be asked - why the truth is she not told?

My dearest Poirot,
I wish you every success in your search. It will not be before time for the mole to be unearthed. Is it possible that you might also discover the leak in Yeoman House? Oh that I could be your Captain Hastings!
Go well my friend,
The Barrister

It was interesting that Jimbo and perhaps many more think I am the insider, I am flattered and a bit jealous that they are getting people writing in with comments.

My Webbs of Leverington site gets thousands of hits and I receive many phone calls, but few will put pen to paper or fingers to the keyboard, they prefer me to fire the bullets for them.

Jimbo mentioned newschat, yes I did help fellow Peterborough Newsagent John Green to set it up with the sole intention to provide information and encourage communication in the trade, at that time there were few opportunities for people in the trade for an open chat.

NFRN online is members only so access is restricted. John was open about his involvement with newschat and what it should acheive. In fact after talking to an editor of a well known trade magazine it was suggested in the nicest possible way that perhaps Webbo and Viper content were not a positive way forward for Newschat and he also assures me he is not the insider either.

As for Newsinsider being disappointed with my Conference performance relating to News International, I appreciate the sentiments stated, but I felt it was a case of being professional and using my decorum status! which hopefully was more appreciated.

Hi Jimbo, You may be addressing Brian incorrectly, Brian is not the "newsinsider" although webbo is registered and a contributor to this site. Newschat is also edited by somebody other than Brian.

Comments will only be edited or excluded if they are considered libellus, a defamatory statement or malicious.

So, Brian - are you going to censor all the comment on this site like you did on the News Chat one? I'm just asking because there's not much point in having a discussion if you won't allow any views that are different from yours.

Dear Webby.

Thank you for your comments relating to Dawsons, and you have made a valued point that I would like to post onto the site.

However, I would be grateful if you could use another identity for Webby will no doubt make people within in industry think you are the ultimate " rogue" WEBBO, and I wish to avoid this situation croping up! I sincerely hope you appreciate the situation,

Yours sincerely,
Newsinsider.

Latest news, Monday 22nd.

Newsagents receiving supplies some three hours later than Dawsons, one retailer had their supply left the opposite side of the road outside a chemist shop at 8 10am!

Still give them time! after all it is News International, and they do want they like, when they like, and dont care of the consequences, because the NFRN are no longer strong enough or have the people with the credentials to fight these publishers.

One NL official has stated that the new NFRN president Solly Khonat will become the best ever,Yer right! who are they kidding? What's the NI REASON? because he doesn't know the news industry and he is a yes man!. And dont forget the news trade is now irrevelant!

I was At the conferance, and was truly discusted at the content of Khonat's speech, his focus on tobacco tells me 2 things he is a member of the tobacco aliance (director) and knows NOTHING of the news industry. This will soon be in full view for all to see, as he try's to back track of his amusing speech at conferance, and of course wholesalers and publishers havent stopped laughting since seeing Khonat singh and Macwho together in a photo in last weeks RN.

I am really sad at the treatment meted out to Dawson News. Just as the company was progressing a well planned and to be carefully executed exit from news over the next six months, so News International kick them again when they are down.

You are right, NewsInsider, NFRN membership fees and membership numbers are at risk. However, do not forget the several thousand Dawson employees who continue to serve our businesses. It is quite likely that they will shortly be without jobs. It is they with whom I have every sympathy.

So what's new. NFRN needs newsagents, full time newsagents, successfull newsagents, newsagents who know the trade inside out, newsagents who open their shops in the mornings.

I downloaded Mr Khonat's speech from the website without difficulty. I was also present to hear him speak. There were big differences between the speech that was written for him and the one he actually delivered. It was this inability to follow the script that causes his current difficulties; unless, of course, he modified the script to echo his thoughts regarding the industry.

Sadly the text of Solly's speech on the NFRN website can only be viewed by members. All indie news retailers should stand behind the NFRN national president, but it would be useful to know his views.
